Distrust is the first obstacle
In France, cold calling for energy renovation work has been banned since 2020, and not by chance. The trade carries a reputation you pay for even when you work properly.
An ad that looks like every other one, with a savings promise in big letters, wakes that distrust up. A video showing your team, your van and a finished installation at a local customer's home does the opposite.
What to know before calling back
A badly qualified solar enquiry costs a wasted trip. The form can sort for you:
- →Whether they own the house
- →Roof type and orientation, even roughly
- →What they want: a lower bill, selling power back, independence
- →A timeframe, to separate a project from curiosity
Do not promise a subsidy amount
Subsidies and feed-in tariffs change often. Quoting an amount in an ad risks showing a wrong figure in three months, and feeding exactly the distrust the trade suffers from.
Better to say you review the available support during the visit. It is true, and it is a reason to book.
Why not buy leads
Contacts sold by lead platforms are often sold to several installers at once. The homeowner gets three calls within the hour and the conversation turns to price. A campaign in your own name gives you a contact who chose you.
