At midnight nobody compares locksmiths: they call the one who inspires trust
Locksmithing lives on emergencies, and emergencies are searched on Google. But the trade carries a poor reputation, and trust is what makes people pick up the phone.
Emergencies are won on Google
Door slammed shut, broken key, burglary: the person types "locksmith" and their town, and calls within the minute. A Google Ads campaign on those searches, limited to the area you can reach fast, plus an up-to-date business profile, do most of the work.
Negative keywords count double here: "locksmith training", "locksmith salary" or "open a door yourself" cost clicks without ever bringing a call.
Trust before price
Emergency locksmith scams are regularly reported, and your customers know it. What makes the difference: a clearly stated call-out fee, recent reviews, a real name, a face.
A short video to camera, where you explain how you set your prices, reassures more than one more ad.
Planned jobs: Meta
Security doors, multi-point locks, access control: these purchases are decided calmly, often after a burglary in the neighbourhood. A local video on Meta creates that demand and fills the diary outside emergencies.
